“Tricky Friends” is a short animation developed to start conversations with people with learning disabilities to help them understand what good friendships are, when they might be harmful and what to do if they are. Please follow the link to KSAB’s website to view the video: Tricky Friends | Knowsley Safeguarding Adults Board
KSAB is committed to support organisations who work with people with learning disabilities and autism, to raise awareness of issues including exploitation, county lines and cuckooing. It is important that people with learning disabilities and autism, those who have cognitive difficulties and also children and young adults, have opportunities to make and maintain positive friendships.
KSAB hopes this animation is used to help people to think about the issues, to start conversations, and keep people safer, while enjoying friendships. It is only 3 minutes long, and can be used with or by anyone – carers, family, organisations, groups.
Please share with your organisations and colleagues to use with residents, we welcome feedback and would appreciate if you could respond to this email with how the information has been shared and used.
Thank you
