On 6 November 2013, the Court of Appeal overturned the Government’s decision to close the Independent Living Fund (ILF).
This means that recpients will not need their support transferred to the local authority.Current users will be continued to be supported but the fund will not be reopened to new applications.
The Govenrment is considering the Court of Appeal’s decision carefully and ILF resicipients will be kept informed on the future of the Fund.
