Consultation on proposed changes to the way the Council provides travel support

Knowsley Council has drafted a new travel support policy which will help to decide who can apply for support from the Council to enable them to travel to education, training or social care services.

The Council currently provides travel support to a number of people who qualify for help with travel so they can access services. This support can include providing financial assistance to purchase a bus pass, or arranging for a mini bus, taxi or private hire vehicle to take individuals directly to a service.

The new travel support policy proposes to change the way that the Council currently provides travel support across Knowsley.

The Council wants to ensure that as many residents and stakeholder groups as possible are aware of the proposed changes and have an opportunity to tell them what they think. They would welcome your views on the proposed changes.

The Council has produced an information leaflet about the proposed changes (download leaflet here)and you are invited to complete an online survey – go tohttps://www.surveymonkey.com/s/TravelSupportConsultation-Stakeholders to make your views count. Closing date for the survey is 23 July 2013.
