Math Skills

KDC offer a free maths programme for adults with a learning disability and/or autism. The programme aims to improve people’s basic Maths skills through fun, interactive learning sessions.

Our programmes are designed in collaboration with our learners. The feedback we received from them, was that they wanted to inject an element of fun into the sessions Therefore we designed our session to help us laugh while we learn, incorporating games and group activities into our sessions.

Learners work towards achieving AQA accredited certificates through the AQA Unit Award Scheme

The topics we cover are flexible, and determined by the views and aspirations of our learners.

Our maths sessions have covered topics such as:

  • Counting
  • Addition and subtraction
  • Calendar and time
  • Measurements
  • Money
learning maths an alternative way

The learning programme is tailored to the group.
