The International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) is a United Nations sanctioned day that aims to promote an understanding of people with disability and encourage support for their dignity, rights and well-being.
This year’s theme is:
“Break Barriers, Open Doors: for an inclusive society and development for all”
KDC is marking the day by getting together with local people with a disability to launch a new community arts project.
The project will run over the next 6 months and will culminate in the production of a permenant art installation that represents the views and experiences of our community.
