KDC is a well-established, successful charity providing a wide range of support and services across Knowsley and neighbouring districts. We deliver guidance and support for people to use direct payments successfully, including employing personal care assistants, and we offer a range of stimulating community programmes and activities for adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. Other services  include ‘A Good Life’ which delivers practical support, including professional counselling therapies for people to overcome challenges and build resilience. 

Learning Disabilities Assistant (full-time, 35 hours) £18,727: Job ref LDA

To provide comprehensive administration assistance and classroom support to ensure the smooth delivery of community education programmes, self-advocacy skills and other developmental activities for adults with learning disabilities. This is an interesting, hands-on role for someone with a background in working with people with additional learning needs, great communication skills and passion for helping disabled and disadvantaged people reach their full potential.

Volunteer Coordinator (part-time, 21 hours) £23,000 pro-rata: Job ref VC

To lead the delivery of our volunteer strategy in support of extending the reach and increasing the impact of KDC’s projects and services. The role will be key to embedding best  practice in volunteer management throughout the organisation ensuring that all our volunteers are happy and engaged, and feel supported and recognised. The successful candidate will be highly organised and passionate about the role of volunteers, with proven experience in recruiting, supporting and developing volunteers.

Finance Assistant (part-time, 14 hours): £18,727 pro-rata: Job Ref FA

To support the accurate and timely collection of fees for the payroll service delivered by the Charity’s trading subsidiary – Your Payroll.  Experience in a financial role will be advantageous, but full training will be provided. The successful candidate will be numerate, with strong Excel skills and be capable of working to strict deadlines.

Customer Finance Officer Appointeeship Service (full time, 35 hours) £22,888: Job ref CFO

To lead the delivery of a brand new independent appointeeship service for Knowsley, receiving and managing DWP benefits on behalf of people who need additional help with their personal finances. The successful candidate will have a background in welfare benefits and have great IT and customer service skills. Experience working in a similar role would be ideal.
